THRIFTED dress | TARGET (sam & libby) boots | THRIFTED jacket | RAG-A-RAMA hat

Knee high boots are overtly sexy, overwhelming, overpowering and overall over the top.

Now that I’m a proud owner of these shoes, I now consider myself an expert on how to style these statement boots.

The key is to not look like a “garden tool”. The way to minimize that effect is to pair the boots with a loose, boxy or free-flowing dress or skirt and preferably keep the entire look monochromatic.

Luckily for me, I unexpectedly found these inexpensive yet great quality boots at Target, when my intention was to pick up a few personal items.

I’m aware that all fashion isn’t made for all body types and up until this moment knee-high boots fit into that category. I’m thin so finding a pair that fit tightly around my skinny legs was a mission impossible turned possible.

I was contemplating sending Sam & Libby an extensive thank you letter, explaining how grateful I am to them for making these boots. I would’ve divulged all the trials I had to endure trying on countless pair of knee-high boots, with wide circumferences, that would devastatingly end with the shoes not fitting around my legs. I decided against it when I told my mom of my idea and she gave me that “are you bat shit crazy” look.

Until next time…just when you’re about to give up looking and trying, you come across unexpected treasures
