“she never looked nice. she looked like art and art wasn’t suppose to look nice, it’s suppose to make you feel something”
I’ve been consumed with school work, the amount of papers I’ve had to type and the countless many more I still have to write before the semester end is depressing.
Balancing college, work and my personal life have been an overwhelming juggling act but I always find a peaceful escape, a safe outlet of free expression through my blog.
Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m not being heard and painfully misunderstood.
We live in an overcrowded noisy world that often times feels like when I open my mouth, my voice gets lost and unheard in the mix.
Expressing my personal style on my blog has given me my voice back! It’s given me a way for my voice to be heard.
Style – your style – is a form of art. It’s a way of saying who you are without speaking. It’s a way to communicate a message by simply using your body as a vehicle to deliver that message.
My body is a canvas and I poetically express myself through the art of my unique style.
Art is perspective based, it’s driven by your own ideologies and one piece of art can communicate multiple messages to different people.
Until next time…based on my black monochromatic stylelook, what message do you think I’m communicating?
Let’s talk! I would love to hear from you, comment below.
